Big Bear Lake is surrounded by national forest and has long been a mountain biking mecca for its beautiful trails that carve their way though the pine trees, up the mountains, and through the occasional streams to finally peak at the best views available of Big Bear and the other surrounding mountain landscape, including San Gorgonio, the highest peak in Southern California.
If you're planning to bike around snow summit's many trails and fire roads, be aware of their chairlift regulations. Your bike must weigh less than 35lb, tire size must be less than 2.5, and have 6 inches of shock or less. Check them here.
