Weather, Big Bear Lake

Mountain Weather

Weather in Big Bear Lake can change fast. The summer is fairly consistent with over 300 days of sunshine on average anually, but occasional thunderstorms do still sweep in. The Winter in Big Bear varies greatly, sometimes starting early around late October and finishing late, around May. The bulk of Big Bear's snow, however, usually rolls in around early December and January. As for Spring, well, its usually over fast. We say we only have two seasons: Winter and Summer. Despite that we have had extended autumns every so often, allowing all the deciduous trees to show off their splendor and light up the forest.
